Artist Biography
Jennifer has always loved artwork. Even as a child she
loved to draw, color, and express herself in whatever
way was available to her, including performing arts.
After 10 years of studying classical ballet and tap
dancing, Jennifer realized that pursuing that path was no
longer her desire and she turned her attention to
artwork. Inspired by a junior high art teacher who gave
her just the right amount of encouragement and
constructive criticism she needed, Jennifer decided she
was an artist at heart and never looked back.  Jennifer
has a variety of interests, but throughout her education
and life she has turned to art classes and creation as her
joy, her release, and her stress reliever.

Jennifer loves to travel. She spent a month living in
Mexico to study the culture and the Spanish language in
1992. She has also had the opportunity to travel to Italy,
Sicily, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway between 1996
and 2000. These years and travel opportunities were
spent working on composition in her mind and through
photography. Much of Jennifer’s continued delight in
traveling today is the opportunity to take photographs of
interesting compositions that she hopes to turn into
paintings.

After finishing graduate work in 2002, Jennifer felt she
could finally turn her attention to developing her artwork
and pursuing her passions and dreams in the art world.
It is this passion and dream that has brought her to
where she is today, and she looks forward to a future of
creating art that is inspired by her life experiences and
the world around her.
